Proposed for its 2010 collection, Lapeyre innovates with Unik tiles, which are very thin: from 3 to 4.8 mm. Made of porcelain stoneware, this tile for bathroom or kitchen splashback is made using two different techniques based on the pressure of the materials. Twice as light as a traditional tile (12 kg per m2 instead of 25 kg per m2), this tile is easier to handle. But the main novelty is that thewe can drill it and cut it , something impossible to achieve with traditional tiles at the risk of breaking it. It is therefore possible to drill holes in order to match the tiling to the different elements, thanks to a diamond glass roller for example. Style is not forgotten and Unik tiles offer various material effects . The wood (white, wenge or black), slate (dark or light), cement (black, gray, clear…) or stone styles create a nature atmosphere in the bathroom or kitchen. The proposed dimensions are 13x80cm, 30x60cm, or 50x100cm depending on the model. Finally regarding the price, Unik tiles vary from 35 euros (Unik cement 50x100cm) to 48.50 euros per square meter (Unik wood 13x80cm).
